#2: How might we encourage our community to support one another and look out for those who are socially isolated?
Project Description
Flags or banners displaying the Singapore flag and the #SGUNITED words on our buildings.
Criteria #1: Value
Creates a sense of solidarity and unity. We are in this together.
Criteria #2: Inspiration
HDBs and high rise apartments and buildings with lots of vertical space are gigantic billboards and advertising spaces. By looking out their windows and seeing the flags and #SGUNITED banners, people will be reminded why they are staying indoors.
Criteria #3: Impact
As people are being cooped up indoors, TV and internet-based advertising can only reach out to limited people. Similar to nationwide National Day celebrations that create an atmosphere of excitement and solidarity, we need a burst of positivity during this time of concern. Something that everyone can also participate in by putting up these flags outside of their own homes.
Criteria #4: Timeliness
If we can get flags printed and distributed, should be fast and easy enough to implement within 4 weeks.
Criteria #5: Systems Thinking
We would like to encourage most people to participate by putting up these flags and banners outside of their own homes.
